What is Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test?
When you want to know if you’re pregnant waiting to test can be hard. That’s why Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test can be used up to 6 days before your missed period, which is 5 days before the day you would expect your period to start. This means that you can find out whether or not you’re pregnant as soon as possible.
The tests also boast over 99% reliability and have easy-to-read results, taking the confusion out of finding out if you’re expecting.
Clearblue pregnancy tests are easy to use and have unique floodguard technology, to minimise the risk of human error. The tests have a longer, curved stick and a wide colour-changing tip to make the process as easy as possible.
How does it compare to other pregnancy tests?
Most pregnancy tests have to be used after a missed period, but the Clearblue Early Detection pregnancy test is unique in that you don’t need to wait until you have a missed period. It can be used a whole 6 days before you expect your period to start, giving you the earliest possible peace of mind.
How do I use Clearblue Early Detection Pregnancy Test?
If you are taking the test before you expect your period to start then you should test the very first urine of the day. If you are using the test once you’ve already missed a period then you can use it at any time of day, but don’t drink lots of fluids before taking.
To take the test, start by removing it from the foil packet and taking off the cap. You should not open it in advance and should use it immediately once you’ve unwrapped it.
There are two different methods for taking the test and you will need to decide beforehand which you would like to use. The first option is to hold the colour-changing tip in your urine stream for a full 5 seconds; the second option is to collect a urine sample in a small container and then immerse the colour changing tip in it for 20 seconds. The tip should have changed entirely pink by this point (on either method) and if it hasn’t then the test could be invalid.
Replace the cap and lie the stick flat, wait 3 minutes and then read your result. A line may appear very quickly but it’s important you only interpret the results after you have waited 3 full minutes. One line in the small window and no line in the big window means that you are not pregnant. One line in the small window and one line in the big window (two lines in total) means you are pregnant, no matter how faint or dark the lines are. You should read your results within 10 minutes of taking the test and if the results change after this time frame then disregard this change.
