More information

Cura-Heat is a reliable and fast-acting pain relief specifically designed to offer comfort from period pain without the use of medicines.

Cura-Heat works with the use of penetrating heat action, which targets the pain at the source from the outside and works its way in. The activated carbon, iron and water work together to create heat which provides 12 hours worth of pain relief.

Cura-Heat is beneficial in providing pain relief from period cramps, aches and discomfort, without the need to regularly use medications. Because women suffer with periods for approximately a quarter of the month, a lot of women would rather not regularly use painkillers (such as paracetamol or ibuprofen) and these patches provide relief in a more natural way.

Always read the instructions before using the Cura-Heat patches. To apply, open the sachet (by hand - don’t use scissors) and take the patch out. Peel away the paper strip and press the patch to the clothing or underwear that covers the painful area. Never apply the patch directly to the skin, as this puts you at risk of burns.

The heat patch warms up gradually and then peaks at its maximum heat in around 30 minutes. From there, it will last you for 12 hours and provide warmth-based comfort during that time.

Once the sachet has been opened, the heat patch is activated and will begin to heat up in 5 minutes, so it’s important to only open the packet once you intend to actually apply the patch, otherwise you may lose out on its effectiveness.

Once the 12 hour period is up, slowly peel the patch off and dispose of with the normal waste (do not incinerate).

Be careful to use the patches properly as misuse can lead to burns, even at low temperatures. Make sure to never apply the patch directly to the skin and do not use over the same area for more than 12 hours in any 24 hour period.

Do not apply extra pressure to patch, for example, by lying on it or wearing tight clothing over it.

Do not use the patch while sleeping and do not use it on any area of the body other than the back or abdomen.

Cura-Heat should not be used on children under 12 years old, on areas of inflamed skin or in conjunction with other creams, lotions or sprays. Take caution not to use the patches on fabrics that are very thin or delicate, as the adhesive could cause damage to the clothing.

If the patch becomes uncomfortable or a rash develops then discontinue use immediately. If symptoms persist or worsen then seek medical advice.

You can safely buy Cura-Heat online at UK Meds, without the need for a prescription or consultation with a medical professional, however you should adhere to the advice given in the patient leaflet enclosed.
