Eucreas tablets have two active ingredients – metformin and vildagliptin. Both medicines are used to help control blood sugar levels in people with type 2 diabetes.

Vildagliptin is an antidiabetic medicine known as a dipeptidyl peptidase-4 inhibitor. It helps in the reduction of blood sugar levels by preventing the breakdown of the incretin hormones glucagon-like peptide-1 and glucose-dependent insulinotropic peptide. The hormones are naturally produced by the body in response to the food intake.
