What is Germoloids Cream?
Germoloids Cream is a combination medication used for the treatment of haemorrhoids. Also known as piles, haemorrhoids can cause pain, swelling and irritation of the anus, especially after a bowel movement. They can be either internal (inside the anus) or external (outside the anus).
How does Germoloids Cream work?
Germoloids Cream contains two active ingredients; zinc oxide and lidocaine. Zinc oxide has the ability to cause contractions when applied to the skin, so it helps to shrink the haemorrhoids and reduce swelling. Lidocaine on the other hand, is a local anaesthetic which helps to numb sensation around the anus and reduce the feeling of pain or discomfort.
What are the benefits of using Germoloids Cream?
Haemorrhoids can cause the sufferer a lot of pain and discomfort and can make it an ordeal to go to the toilet. Treating them easily and quickly with Germoloids cream can get you feeling back to normal quicker, by numbing any pain or irritation and soothing the area around the anus.
How do I use Germoloids Cream?
Always wash your hands before and after using this product and ensure you have taken the time to read the patient information leaflet so that you understand how to use it properly.
The way in which you apply the cream will depend on the kind of haemorrhoids that you have. If you have external haemorrhoids, you can simply apply a small amount of cream directly to the affected area.
If you have internal haemorrhoids then you’ll need to use the applicator nozzle. Once you’ve screwed it onto the tube, smear a small amount onto the outside of the nozzle to make application more comfortable. Carefully insert the applicator into the anus and gently squeeze the tube as you slowly withdraw the nozzle so that the cream moves inside the anus gently.
Germoloids Cream dosage
Apply the cream, as directed, to the affected area at least twice a day with a minimum of 3 to 4 hours between applications. You can make further applications at any time of day and are recommended after a bowel movement, but you should not use this medication more than 4 times in any 24 hour period.
Side effects & precautions
You should not use Germoloids Cream if you are allergic to any of its ingredients, particularly zinc oxide or lidocaine. Before using this medication, you should see your doctor if you are continually suffering from haemorrhoids or they are very severe. You should also discuss the use with a doctor first if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
This cream is for use in and around the anus only. You should not put the cream in your mouth or swallow any; if any is accidentally swallowed by you or anyone else then you should go to the nearest emergency department and make sure to take the packaging and the patient information leaflet with you.
This product is not recommended for use in children younger than 12 years old. If they are showing symptoms of haemorrhoids then you should see a doctor for advice on treatment options.
Constipation or strained bowel movements can make haemorrhoids worse and make them more painful. Try and avoid this by staying hydrated, drinking plenty of fluids and taking in enough fibre as part of a balanced diet.
Like all medicines, this product can cause side effects. If you do notice any pain or irritation from using the product or have any unexpected side effects then discontinue use and contact a doctor.
How do I buy Germoloids Cream online?
You can safely buy Germoloids Cream at UK Meds, without the need for a prescription or consultation with a medical professional, however you should adhere to the advice given in the patient leaflet enclosed.
